Etchings - Photo and Design

We employ only the highest standards available—after all, a memorial needs to stand the test of time. Therefore, we do not offer laser etching—instead, we offer photo and design etchings, which is similar but significantly superior.

With our etching process, we achieve realistic, photo-like images. This is in contrast to laser, which simply removes the polish off the surface of the granite and “burns” a picture on the stone. Laser is an old technique that may look okay when installed, but after a few years in the elements, the image will fade and become unappealing.

We use a type of etching that gives finely detailed photos and emblems, but the image gets blasted into the granite so we can apply paint to enhance the design; this also allows the image to be cleaned and repainted in the future if the elements begin to take a toll.
